Marquesa Marine Small Diameter Series Push Pole

The Marquesa Marine Small Diameter Series push pole is the first and only small diameter push pole with the strength and stiffness of a standard diameter pole. This is a pole that can do everything that you would expect of a standard push pole in a reduced diameter and reduced weight package. The smaller 1.25" outer diameter offers a more comfortable feel in hand and reduces hand fatigue after long days on the poling platform. For decades, the only small diameter push poles on the market were extremely prone to breakage and were not stiff enough for practical use. At the constant urging of the guiding community, we created a small diameter push pole that is both stiff and hard to break. Many guides have told us that this is the best push pole they have ever used.

Tubing and Production Method

The Marquesa Marine Small Diameter Series push pole is assembled from vertically cured high modulus carbon fiber tubing. We construct our push poles from three sections because it allows us to cure the tubing at high temperature in a vertical orientation rather than a horizontal orientation typical of one-piece push poles. One piece push poles are plagued by flat spots, uneven wall thicknesses, and inconsistencies that result from horizontal curing. The Marquesa Marine Small Diameter Series push pole is bonded using a high temperature, aerospace grade structural adhesive for the ferrules and a specialty nylon adhesive for the foot and tip to create a permanent one-piece assembly.
