Bay Street Outfitters was founded in 1995 and set up shop in beautiful Downtown Beaufort, SC. We have resided in the historic Lipsitz building at 825 Bay Street for more than a decade. Built in 1883, the Lipsitz building, a prominent fixture in Downtown Beaufort, gets its name from the family owning the department store for three generations. The creak of the almost 150 year old heart pine floors reminds visitors that they are “home” in much the scent of low tide greets all who visit the Lowcountry. Our staff and guides have fished all over the world, used our clothing and gear, and they are focused on you.
We offer the finest in fly fishing and outdoor products from manufacturers including Orvis, Barbour, SIMMS, and Patagonia. Within our shop, we book hundreds of charters a year, entertaining clients from all over the world, all led by our experienced and local guides. Additionally, we pride ourselves on outfitting clients for trips spanning from the mountains of North Georgia to the islands of the Seychelles.
